Wishing Well // Cowboy Boots

If you have been reading my blog for awhile you'll know I have a fondness for boots - 1 pair in particular! I want to find a new pair for Summer so I can clomp around in pretty dresses and cowboy boots.

I can't decide if I want black or brown, normally I'd gravitate towards black so I'm a little worried I wouldn't wear brown ones if I bought them...argh! decisions!!

So this little feature is another addition to my blog - well, more like bringing back an old feature! A little wishlist of things I want/need/admire...

What are you looking out for this season? I'm kind of sad Winter is over, I love dressing up all cosy and warm!

Cake Decorating // Gardener Pop

Two weeks ago it was my Granddad's (well, Pop's!) birthday. My Mum made him a yummy Hummingbird cake with banana and pineapple in it and I made a cake topper to go on it.

My Grandad loves his garden and growing vegetables. At Christmas we often have tasty new potatoes fresh out of his garden and me and my sister used to climb over the carrots, etc to get to the peas and eat them straight out of the pods!

I was so happy with how this came out. Making a standing fondant person is hard work! He has strategically placed toothpicks to help him stand up. It probably took me 3 hours to make the whole thing. It was worth it, my Grandad loved it and took a picture of it on his camera too!

Have you ever had a play with fondant icing? Would anyone like any tips? I have an entire cake-sized container full of different coloured fondant at home!

A great start to the week here in Dunedin! Two sun-shiny days in a row, a successful visit to the Mosgiel Salvation Army Store and an outfit post with some of my new purchases today.

I hadn't been to check out the op shop in a while, I didn't really feel like going outside last week when I was sick, so it was usually a quick visit to the supermarket to get something for lunch then I would scurry back to the heater and my computer! Luckily that meant when I had a look yesterday there were lots of new goodies waiting for me!! 

I picked up the lace top I'm wearing for $4 I think, there wasn't a label on it but I love the creamy white colour. Ideally I'd like to wear a black bra underneath, but for work I decided to go with the black singlet. I think it'll be great to layer up in winter and wear over a bikini and shorts in summer. 

I found the little brown satchel in a corner along with a little black one. Neither have long shoulder straps (I think they originally did) but it doesn't really bother me, I still love them!

Well better go, heading to see the new X-Men movie shortly! Happy Tuesday!
