Hello people! I’m Kasey. I’m a shy, crafty, slightly nerdy girl from New Zealand. I work as an Architectural Draughtsperson by day, decorate cakes in the weekends and visit the ballet whenever I can.

I started A Sparkley Silver Lining last year and it has become a special outlet for me to record my outfits, develop my style, increase my confidence and share my cake decorating experiences and dance reviews. I came up with the title from my love of sequins and all things sparkley – a frequent theme in my clothing choices! From here I also set up Sequin Corner Cakes – My own little business decorating cakes! So far it has only been for friends and family, but one day soon I hope I can dedicate a lot more time and energy to it and make cakes for all sorts of people!

On my blog you can find all kinds of posts – some of my favourites include; my Christmas Cake, my review of the RNZB's The Nutcracker, these pictures from my inspiration diary, my 'what's in my bag' post, some of my favourite vintage purchases, these peanut butter truffles, this outfit post with my black maxi skirt and my margarita cupcakes!

Check out my other pages to find out more about me – Cake Decorating, Dance Reviews, Recipes and Baking and Outfits and Style.

I’m so thankful for all the people that drop in and read my blog, whether you leave me a comment, quickley check out a photo or decide to follow me, I’m so glad you stopped by!

I have lots of new ideas for my blog and hopefully some exciting posts coming up. Make sure you come back soon, friends!
